Magazine: 'Carhartt WIP x Motown Records'

Carhartt WIP is releasing an exclusive collaboration with legendary record label Motown for their 60th anniversary. Motown played a huge role in music culture for bringing their own sound to the American radio stations, with a roster that saw iconic artists like Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and the Jackson 5. Motown went down as one of the greatest labels in music history and its influence can still be felt throughout popular cultures today.

For this exclusive collaboration, Carhartt WIP dove into the rich history of the record label. Many graphics on the items are inspired by images found in the Motown archive and are tributes to Motown’s artists or their sub-labels. The color purple is of frequent occurrence in the capsule collection, this color stands for creativity, independence and ambition. Paired with Carhartt WIP’s great fitting, these exclusive items are a must-have for everybody that wants to stand out in the crowd.

For their special co-operation, Carhartt WIP and Motown hosted a special radio show which you can listen to here! We’re thrilled to see this collaboration between Carhartt WIP and Motown as they both had a big influence on culture all over the world!
