With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, ESMOD-graduate and designer Ben Taverniti launched his personal design project, Unravel, in Spring/Summer 2015. Defiantly eschewing commercial pressures and trends, Unravel disrupts industry conventions with a seasonless range of reimagined yet timeless essentials. Streetwear staples, such as nylon bomber jackets and graphic t-shirts, are reconstructed in innovative silhouettes and refined by carefully-sourced, luxurious textiles. Heavily distressed t-shirts, destroyed skinny jeans, and shredded canvas jackets rough up sarouel-style lounge pants and oversized cargo trousers. Avant-garde details elevate loungewear basics, such as French terry sweatshirts and pullovers, while biker jackets and bomber jackets are rendered in the label’s signature premium leather.
